A few minutes ago...Bradley Garrett Rose has finally arrived at 8.5 lbs & 20 1/2 inches long. He is so cute! We are going up to see him on Saturday and we are really excited, can't wait!

Sea World

So onto better things...(referring to my last post of the SDSU game) I'm over the depression now and shock that it all ended so abruptly! Anyways, while we were in San Diego we went to Sea World. It was so fun and we had great weather. Kaylee loved seeing all the animals. I could just watch her the whole time and have a blast seeing her expressions and curiosity. It's almost just as fun going as a parent to these places as it was when I was a kid.

FaMilY PicTuRes

We finally took the DAY family pictures right before my little brother left on his mission two weeks ago. The last time we had a picture was in 2002 with 8 family members. Since then we have added 3 son-in-laws, 3 grandchildren, and one on the way. Our photographer has sent a few over to see if we want to do anything special like the coloring, printing effects etc before he sends them all. Needless to say some of them turned out really fun; I could post a billion but here is a sneak preview for now.

Date Night

Ryan and I haven't been out alone in quite awhile, as many can relate, so we decided on a whim to grab some pizza at the RedRock then see Max Payne (of course ryans request for action-turned out it wasn't so good but you can judge for yourself). At the end of the day we love to spend time together as best friends so we always have a blast no matter what we are doing.

LAME

I know I am lame right now with only football stuff going on, but soon more is coming. I made a conscious note to get snaps of things we are involved in because I need to capture more moments...anyways thats my side note. MORE IS COMING (not only for others to enjoys HAHA but for my documentation too)!

Where has the time gone?!

Where has the time gone?! My little cheerleader is the most adorable thing ever as she has cheered on her daddy for the past 2 years; And yes her pictures look NOTHING alike! **(More football pics to come as this is the only one that survived! My mother-in-laws camera was stolen and had all the game pics on it so it will take some time to rebuild what was lost.)

Last night was such an exciting, edge of your seat game from start to finish. The rebels hang together through out the entire game 20 to 20 going into overtime. Rebel offense had the ball first but were held to a field goal putting us ahead 23-20. Arizona was next...you guessed right! The rebs held them to ATTEMPT a field goal and it was B-L-O-C-K-E-D!!! The look on ASU faces were priceless and not to mention the poor sportmanship (boo's & flipping off's). This game was definetly not a fluke. The boys played strong and the way they know how for all four quarters and then some into overtime. We are so proud of the UNLV Rebels (especially my sugar)! I was so excited to see Ryan (such an exciting game had to be an away one that I didnt attend!). It seemed like forever by the time he came home at 2:00am from Arizona but it was all worth it to see the permanent smile on his face. GO REBELS!

Its that time again! UNLV at ASU, kick-off saturday at 7:00pm showing on Fox Sports Arizona (DirecTV & Dish); also replaying through out the weekend on Fox College Sports Pacific (CoxCable ch.332). GO REBELS!

Sushi

I can officially say that I have eaten my share of sushi. We went out with our good friends Kamu & Hoku to enjoy some "authentic" food per my request to try something new & exciting. They were very kind to me as I tried to eat slimy raw fish with chop sticks, not kill my nasal passages with wasabi, and not puke from all the rice! I tried MANY types of sushi, rolls and anything else they could think of for me to try (it was buffet style), but I can say that its not bad - definetly not my favorite. Well that was my little tid-bit about sushi!

I lost the bet

Well this is my first entry to the Worthen family blog, it is the result of losing a bet to my wife. My wife has done such a wonderful job keeping tabs on the family, and taking pictures; but what else can you expect from best!
I am currently residing in Ely, Nevada we just got done with our first full pad practice up here and there seems to be some good things happening. That's about all I legally permitted to say right now.
More importantly something worth noting is that my little princess talked to me on the phone today for the first time. And I mean she really was saying things to me. I miss those girls but at least I get to talk to them. I am really a blessed man somehow I was given the love and company of the two most beautiful girls in the world. I know it's not easy for them but I sure do appreciate the support and love. At least I know that I did two things right, my marriage and my daughter.

Beach Trip

During Ryan's only 5 days off this summer we took a REALLY spur of the moment trip to Oceanside, California! We stayed right on the beach in some condos and made a lot of fun family memories before the summer ended.

MORE...Beach Trip

While we were in california we went to the San Diego Wildlife Animal Park. It was really cute seeing Kaylee get so excited about the animals, but she wasn't to fond of touching them. She would get close then pull back at the last minute.

Also one of the nights out at the beach there was a summer night shopping thing. So we went around the tents while the bands were playing enjoying the fresh california air. Kaylee & Coby rode a horse around for the first time, which was adorable!

Summer Camp

It's that time of year again...UNLV Summer Football Camp! I am so proud of Ryan for all the hard work he has put into everything going on in his life this summer. He manages getting GREAT grades, going to every single summer work-out on top of being on the leadership committee, fist counselor in the young mens and working insane hours doing tiring labor then coming home and spending quality time with his needy spouse and energetic daughter...all with a huge smile on his face! We already miss him but are getting really antsy for the season to start. FYI: August 30th at 7:00pm - UNLV vs Utah State, GO REBELS!

Football Girl

My little girl has been introduced to football since the moment she was born so that makes her naturally have a love for it. We have some really fun moments playing and throwing the ball around. My favorite is when we yell out, "TOUCH-DOWN!" and she throws her arms up in the sign of touchdown. Like I said, definetly a natural!

Shoe Princess

I don't have pictures for all the times my little shoe princess has walked around in heels but its an amazing thing she has mastered. The first time was at her friend Sadies and she put on the cute "princess" shoes and started running around...ever since that day she has loved all forms of shoes, especially heels! But she will steal your shoes if they are sitting around so we have to keep an eye on them, haha.

Swimming Time

Swimming time with daddy & grandpa! The boys said she didn't have that much fun but they really enjoyed being with her anyways. I'm sure by the end of the summer she will learn to love it because her dad is going to take her as often as he can before leaving for summer camp.
